Deathball - A Variation on the Game of Paintball
Deathball - A Variation on the Game of Paintball
There's always something new and thrilling in paintball. It's what keeps a familiar favorite exciting. This includes variations on the game. Check out this variation called Deathball, but remember, as with all games of paintball, it's important to follow all safety rules and make sure EVERYONE is aware of the rules before starting to play. It's also important that all players use common sense at all times.
Requirements
You will need one referee with a stopwatch, a smaller field and two teams.
Setup
The teams should be set on opposite sides of the field with a certain amount of paintballs (five or fewer is a good amount depending on the skill of the player). The referee sits in the middle of the field to quickly call people out and keep careful watch of the game.
Rules
At the start of the game, each team needs to try to get as many players as possible to the opposite side of the field. Normal rules apply for eliminations but instead of leaving the field, eliminated players simply raise their gun and wait for the game to end. One minute into the game the referee stops the game and one point is awarded for each player who has successfully made it to the other side without being eliminated. You can play multiple rounds and combine the scores simply by restarting the game each time from opposite ends of the field.
Victory
The team with the most players to successfully cross the field to the other side within one minute wins.
Variations
Flags can be placed throughout the field and any flag that is captured is also worth one point. Alternatively, points can be scored either for successfully crossing the field or for eliminating an opposing player.
